Zuzy Mary (Kish) Shaw

Zuzy Mary (Kish) Shaw, 100, passed away September 13, 2020 at Beebe Retirement center.  She was born May 11, 1920 to the late Frank and Zuzy Butzco Kish at Stockton, New Jersey.  She was the youngest of eight children. 
     Zuzy married A.A. Shaw August 20, 1940 at Stockton; he precedes her in death.  Together A.A. and Zuzy shared 60 years of matrimony.  She worked as a waitress and he worked on a dairy farm in New Jersey until they left their home there and made a new home for their family at Arkansas in 1957.  The purchased a diary farm in Stoney Point. 
     Zuzy was a caring wife and mother who worked at two different restaurants in Beebe.  She worked for Buck Powers Restaurant and later, Anderson’s Restaurant.  When the Beebe Variety Store opened during the early 1960’s, Zuzy went to work there and stayed with them until they closed their doors during the 1980’s.  Finally, she decided it was time to retire and she stayed home.
     Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter; an infant son; son, A.A. (Sandy) Shaw Jr.; four sisters and three brothers. 
     She is survived by her daughter, June Huff (Bennie) of Beebe; grandchildren, Bennie Huff Jr. (Tammy) of North Little Rock, Kathy Brandon (Tony) of Beebe, Allen Huff (Amy) of Pratsville, and Melissa Miller (Wayne) of Cabot; 12 great grandchildren; and 21 great great grandchildren.
     Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Union Valley Baptist Church in Beebe.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Union Valley Baptist Church with interment to follow at Weir Cemetery.
