Willie Ray Marshall, 79, of Searcy, went to be with the Lord August 31, 2021 at Unity Health in Searcy. He was born March 13, 1942 at Dardanelle to the late James and Ora Martin Marshall.
Mr. Marshall was a hard-working family man who placed God first in his life. He was a member of Way of The Cross Church in Kensett. He worked with his hands most of his life as a fabricator and welder, and building things were a favorite past time of his as well.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, James Ray Marshall and Travis lee Marshall; brother, Franklin Marshall; three sisters, Louise Nall, Ermaneal Reeves, and Angilee Wallis.
He married Alice Brown Marshall December 7, 1963 at Aubrey, Arkansas; she survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Teressa Smithey (Harvey) of Searcy; five grandchildren, James Moon, Jonathan Moon, Zackery Marshall (Megan), Edwaleena Loveless (Luther) and Amber Free (Jonathan); seventeen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Ralph Marshall (Joyce); four sisters, Mary Ruth Thompson; Betty Harrington (Loren), Charlotte Savage (Don), and Hazel Lake (Joe).
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday September 6, 2021 until the funeral which starts at 11:00 a.m. in the Sullivan Memorial Chapel. Committal services will be 2:00 p.m. following services at Marianna Memorial Park Cemetery.
