Wilbert Mendonca

Wilbert Mendonca, 84, of Searcy passed away January 20, 2021 at Unity Hospital in Searcy.  He was born February 26, 1936 at Hilo, Hawaii to the late Frank and Angelina Viera Mendonca.  Wilbert was preceded in death by his wife, Trula Stracener Mendonca, May 10, 2018. 
     In addition to his love of animals, Wilbert was an avid reader.  He spent his free time reading and catching up on the current events.  He was a member of Searcy First Baptist Church, faithful in tithing with time and talents.  He served the church as a deacon.  He also made sure his family was faithful in their attendance as well. 
      Wilbert is survived by his daughters, Sandra Mendonca of Searcy and Katherine Mendonca (Jake) of Portland, Oregon; and granddaughter, Ramona Mendonca-Baker.
