Violet Retta Martin Price

Violet Retta Martin Price, 90, of Searcy passed away in her home November 13, 2020 surrounded by family.  She was born April 24, 1930 in Denmark, Arkansas to the late SR and Minnie Pruitt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Martin as well as husband Thurlow (Pappy) Price. She is also preceded in death by brothers Chester Pruitt, Charlie Pruitt, Arvil and Avon Pruitt.

     Grandma Martin, as those around her knew her, enjoyed working with her flowers and raising chickens, but what truly made her heart sing was being around her family.

     Violet is survived by sons Monte (Phyllis), Danny (Gail), of Searcy, Ricky (Brenda) of Albion, and Mark of Bald Knob. Daughters Judy (Winston) Bradley, Sandra (Robert) Black of McRae, Molly (Terry) Ray of Rose Bud and Tammy Martin of Bald Knob. Grandma Martin Price left a wonderful legacy of 144 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 There will be a graveside service Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Searcy Faith Assembly at Searcy, Arkansas.
