Richard Travis Elledge

Richard Travis Elledge, 58, of Kensett, Arkansas entered Heaven’s gates on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Richard was born in Birmingham, Alabama on May 1, 1964 to Cecil Wilbur Elledge Jr. and Tona Harrington Elledge. Richard had the deepest love for God, family, and friends. Regardless of how many times he fell, he always reached for God’s hand, pulled himself back up and began again. Richard was such a loving and true kind soul. He had a light in him and the most beautiful smile that started in his heart and beamed straight through his eyes. 

Preceded in death by daughters Mandy and Michelle Elledge, his father Cecil Wilbur Elledge Jr. and his niece Lauren McGinnis.

Richard is survived by his mother Tona Elledge. His two sisters, Angela Elledge Gainer and Patti Jones and her husband David Jones. His son and daughter, Richard Travis Elledge Jr. and Nicole Elledge Grier. His nieces Brittany Gainer Young, Shelby Gainer, and Rachel (Rae-Rae) Gainer. His nephew Christopher McGinnis and wife Rosanna McGinnis. Richard was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Chloe, Brayden, and Addison Elledge and Caleb, Micah, and Luke Grier. 

Richard’s favorite past times include reading, being in the outdoors admiring God’s beauty, and lending a helping hand to anyone he could. He loved BIG. 

Richard’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 beginning at 2:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Sullivan Memorial Chapel.
