With the greatest sadness, we would like to announce the passing of Phyllis Louise Hohenstein, age 68 of Searcy, Arkansas. Phyllis spent most of her adult life being a homemaker for her family, a task she not only loved, but perfected. She took great pride in caring for her family and the absence of that will be a heartbreak not easily mended.
Phyllis was the wife of Harry “Buck” Hohenstein III. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last month. They shared a deeply devoted love, which gave life to their four sons and one daughter, who were the light of her life. She loved to craft, bake, work her garden, can vegetables, and so much more.
She is preceded in death by her parents Austin and Lucille Jordan(Smith) and two brothers Roy and William Jordan.
She is survived by her husband Harry Hohenstein, sons; Allen and Tracie Hohenstein, Brent and Jessie Hohenstein, Harry “Lucky” and Regina Glann, Marty and Debbie Glann, and daughter Lynetta Glann, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and two brothers Gene and Rachel Jordan, Jerry and Kimberly Jordan, and sister Kenny and JoAnn Dunlap.
Our family would love for you to come celebrate the life of this special woman with us. Services will be held at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett. Visitation will be Friday, November 3rd from 6pm-8pm. Funeral services Saturday November 4th at 10am. Interment will follow at Holly Springs Cemetery, located off of Fairview,
