Monte Edward Martin, III

 Monte Edward Martin III, age 72, of Searcy went to be with his Lord Tuesday, May 2, 2023. He was born June 13, 1950 in Judsonia, AR. to the late Robert Edward Martin II and Violet Pruitt Martin. Monte was a mechanic by trade but his most important job was a Minister Of The Gospel. Pop, as he was known by many, was also a jack of all trades. You could always find him set up at the flea market in Beebe every Saturday until he wasn't able to anymore. It was his livelihood. Monte loved fishing. His most favorite fish story to tell was when he caught a 96 pound catfish which made Dad a Fishing Superstar. He's made many friends through the years traveling and preaching God's word and taking his family to sing and minister and telling people about Jesus. 

 He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Phyllis Martin, Children Melissa (Butch) Clonts, Marsha (Jeff) Brimer, Marty (Misty) Martin, and Misty (Ray) Brazzell. He is also survived by his brothers Danny, Ricky, and Mark and sisters Judy, Sandy, Molly, and Tammy, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.  

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett.

Funeral services will 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Sullivan Funeral Care.
