Merlean Smith

Merlean Smith, 96, of Searcy, Arkansas passed away in the early morning hours on December 25, 2021 at Oakdale Nursing Home in Judsonia.

     Merlean was born on December 6th, 1925 in Cove Creek, Cleburne County, Ark to Willie Boyd Smith and Sena Holliman Smith.

     She was a founding member of Four Mile Hill Church of Christ and owned Smith's Grocery for a number of years.

     She is preceded in death by both parents, sisters Cloie Presley (Leister), Glodean Snowden (JW), Imogene Rowe and brothers Olen (Dorothy), Ivon (Louise), Bodie and Odas (Ernestine).

     She is survived by sister-in-law Laverne Smith of Little Rock, niece Linda Brewer and great-nephew Josh Capps, both of Searcy, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

     Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2021 at Sidon Cemetery.
