Margaret Parker

Margaret Parker, 90, of Des Arc, went to be with the Lord February 10, 2020 at her residence.  She was born February 24, 1929 at Marianna, Arkansas to the late Alvie and Mary Langford Schoonover.
     Mrs. Parker was a member of Judson Memorial Missionary Baptist Church at Des Arc.  She married at the young age of 15 and being widowed at a young age, she was a strong woman who loved everyone she met.  She enjoyed working out in her yard and flowers.
     She married Charley Parker in 1943 at Woodruff County; he preceded her in death January 20, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Pam Holloway; grandson, Bobby Dale Parker; son-in-law Gary Holloway; sister, Dolly Gunn; and four brothers, Edward, Sydney, Eugene, and Bill Schoonover.
     She is survived by three sons, Bobby Parker (Linda) of Little Rock, Raymond Parker (Carla) of Des Arc, and Darrell Parker of Des Arc; three daughters, Charlene Holloway and Linda Parker of Des Arc and Connie McAfee (David) of Beebe; son-in-law, Dwight Holloway; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.
     Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Judson Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in Des Arc with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will be at Welcome Home Cemetery.
