Linda Diane (Ellis) Johnson

Linda Diane Ellis Johnson, 73, of Searcy, passed away July 15, 2022 at Advanced Care Hospital in Searcy.  She was born January 26, 1949 at Griffithville to the late Claude Sherrill and Bessie Lee Lockhart Ellis.
     Mrs. Johnson was of the Baptist faith and loved her family dearly.  She received a degree in business from Foothill Technical Institute in 1992.  She loved to travel and drove truck cross country for many years. She never met a stranger and was known by many as Mama D. She had a heart of gold, a smile as bright as the sun, and was always willing to help others. The light of her life came when Gracie was born. She loved her monkey and was blessed by her little rainbow girl.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sons, Boyd Everett Tripp, Claude Edward Green, Wesley Wade Neal and Lesley Harold Neal; one brother, Everett Craig Ellis.
     She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Tripp Cherry (Mark) of Searcy and a granddaughter, Gracie Diane Cherry; and her lifelong best friend, Elberta Greenhaw; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
     Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday July 20, 2022 at Sullivan Funeral Care with services at 11:00.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
