Julie Padgett Obituary

Julie Marksbury Padgett “Jules”, as she was known, passed from this life March 27, 2021 at St. Vincent CHI in Sherwood.  She was born March 14, 1970 at Shreveport, Louisiana.
Julie graduated from Bald Knob High School and went on to pursue her career in nursing by obtaining her education from ASU Newport where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse.  Caring for others was in the intricate makeup of who Julie was.  Nursing was a natural fit but becoming a mother and ultimately a grandmother was the titles she cherished the most.  She was also known as a prayer warrior who was very disciplined in her love and dedication for God even until her death, she was praying for others wellbeing, instead of her own.
Julie was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Marksbury; and a daughter, Emily Christine Padgett.
She married David Padgett November 28, 1987 at Bradford; he survives.  She is also survived by her mother, Sarah Sanders Davis (Russell) of Bald Knob; children, Sara Padgett Ross of Bald Knob and Joshua Padgett (Hope) of Bono; two granddaughters, Emily Grace Ross and Olivia Mae Ross; three sisters, Sujuana Mizer (Rodney) of Beebe, Teresa Glaze (Billy) of Bald Knob and Brandy Langwasser (Kyle) of Minden, Louisiana; as well as a stepsister, Elizabeth Davis and step brother, John Davis; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
The family will have a memorial service 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Velvet Ridge Church of God.
