Jerry Charles Holmes

Jerry Charles Holmes, 80 of Searcy, Arkansas went to be with his Lord on September 26, 2023. He was born on January 16, 1943, in Perryville, Arkansas to Morris Mack and Alma Rankin Holmes. Mr. Holmes was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed Hunting, Trout Fishing, studying history, and spending time with his grandchildren. He served in the United States Air Force, United States Air Force- National Guard, United States Air Force Reserves for Forty-Two years. He married the love of his life, Sandra Henderson Holmes on September 28th, 1962, they went on to have two children. During this time, he worked in the photography industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lee Roy Holmes.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Holmes, son, Jerry Holmes Jr. and his wife, Brandie, daughter Lori Downs and husband Dean Downs, grandchildren, Maddie Belle and Piper Ann Holmes, one brother, Danny Wayne Holmes, and sister in law, Lisa Holmes, the wife of the late, Lee Holmes.

A memorial service will be held at Sullivan Funeral Care Chapel on September 28th, at 6:00 p.m. Family and friends will be welcomed to share memories from 5:30 p.m. until the service begins at 6:00 p.m.
