Janice Vaughan Obituary

Janice Woodfield Vaughan, 67, of Searcy passed away December 8, 2020 after grieving the recent loss of her beloved husband, C R Vaughan, Jr.  Janice was born December 1, 1953 to the late Alfred Oscar and Lugenia Brown Woodfield at Pine Bluff.  She married C R Vaughan, Jr. July 29, 1995 at Romance.  They spent 25 years together before she lost her soulmate November 24, 2020.
If you have been to Janice’s home on the holidays, you would know how much her family and friends will miss her cooking, especially her turkey and dressing.  She was the matriarch of the family and made her home a place of peace and everyone was welcome.  Her sweet disposition always made people feel right at home when they visited.  Janice enjoyed living life to the fullest.  She loved to sing and play the piano.  When in high school, she made an album with the Pine Bluff Choir.  She had a love of animals, most especially dogs.  She and her daughter, Michelle, co-owed a little dog because Janice could not bear the thought of letting her out of her sight.  She had a collection of china teacups, cut crystal, glassware and other precious items that held sentimental value to her.  Janice will be remembered for being the love of Junior’s life, and he was hers.
Janice was preceded in death by her loving husband, C R Vaughan, Jr. by fifteen days; her parents, Alfred and Lugenia Woodfield; sister, Margaret Wright, and brother, Randal Woodfield.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Michelle Vaughan of Searcy; a bonus son, Kevin Vaughan (Stacie) of Romance; brother, Ronnie Woodfield of Malvern; grandchildren, Aidan and Cullin of Romance; a special cousin, Stephanie Porter; two precious dogs, Mollie and Sadie; and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
In leu of flowers, please make donations to your local animal shelter.  Janice will rest knowing her furry friends are well taken care of.

There will be a visitation for family and friends 2:00 p.m.  Monday, December 14, 2020 at the Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Kensett.
