Jackie Ray Shaver

Jackie Ray Shaver, 71, of Judsonia passed from this life and entered his eternal home December 15, 2020.  He was born May 6, 1949 at Judsonia to the late Henry Elton and Johannie Mae Watkins Shaver at Judsonia.  Jackie married the love of his life, Donna Stimbo, February 24, 1976 at the Rocky Point Baptist Church at Judsonia, where they were members.  Together they shared 44 years of matrimony. 
     Along with his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by his son, Michael Shaver; brother, Hank Shaver; and his nephew, Scotty Shaver. 
     Jackie was a wonderful square dancer.  He enjoyed the friends and fellowship he shared with the other dancers.  He spent his free time fishing, working on lawn mowers, playing card games with his brother, Robert, and playing games on his computer.  He loved to pester his brothers, that is how he showed his love for them.  Jackie also loved to pass the time by driving around the countryside.  He could tell stories about the towns and the people in them.  Family was important to Jackie, especially his grandchildren.  He was proud of his children, but grandchildren hold a special place in everyone’s heart; and this was particularly true for Jackie.
     Those left to cherish his stories are his beloved wife, Donna Shaver of Judsonia; daughter Becky Holleman of Searcy; son, Justin (Lauren) Shaver of Judsonia; grandchildren, Dustin Middleton, October Shaver, his “Little Buddy” Xander Shaver; brother, Robert (Cheryl) Shaver of Judsonia; and a long list of family and friends. 

There will be a visitation at 1:00 p.m. Friday December 18, 2020 at Sullivan Memorial Chapel.  Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Fredonia Cemetery in Judsonia.
