Jackie Ruth (James) Lawson

Jackie Ruth James Lawson, age 74, of Kensett went to be with her Lord on August 4, 2023. She was born February 19, 1949 in Pangburn, Arkansas to the late Leonard Jack James and Ruth Katherine Hicks James. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank and Jesse James and her sister Kathy Williams. She worked for the American Red Cross until her retirement and was a faithful member of Rocky Point Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting and bird watching. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Jimmie Ray Lawson of Kensett, her children, Michael Lawson of Judsonia, Steven Lawson of Searcy, David Lawson of Higden, Wendy Rainwater (Ron) of Searcy, Cindy Miller (Paul) of Searcy, and Jody Siler (Misty) of Searcy. She is also survived by her siblings, Jerry James of Jonesboro, Frances Oakes (Lonnie) of Sherwood, sister-in-law Gayle James and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 7, 2023 at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Sullivan Funeral Care with Bro. Jamie McAnelly officiating. Interment will follow in Henderson Cemetery in Pangburn.
