Harold Churchwell

Harold Churchwell, 82, of Griffithville went to be with the Lord June 25, 2020.  He was born to the late Carl and Willie Corbell Churchwell March 4, 1938 at Tyronza, Arkansas.  He married his beloved wife, Kathy Snelson Churchwell, November 22, 1975 at Griffithville; she survives.  Together they shared 44 years of matrimony. 
     Harold was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed his work to the fullest.  He was a member of the West Point Baptist Church where he served as a devoted Christian.  In retirement, Harold made the most of his time spending it with his family and friends.  He enjoyed hearing his grandchildren’s playful laughter and loved being surrounded by the sounds of visitors in his home.  One memory his grandchildren will cherish is taking their pick from Grandpa’s Hot Wheels collection.  He always encouraged them to keep them in the package, but the grands had their heart set on rolling the wheels across the “roads” of his home. 
     Along with his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his sister, Armilda Lloyd; brothers, J.W. Churchwell, Raymond Churchwell, and Bill Churchwell; and daughter, Vickie Churchwell Dale.
     Left to cherish his memory with Kathy are his sons, John Churchwell of St. Cloud, Florida, and Paul Harris (Chelsia) of Franklin, Tennessee; his daughters LaDonna Gulley of Conway, and Autumn Medler (Kevin Bromley) of Springhill, TN; twelve grandchildren, Charlie and Chad Dale; Miranda, Tiffany, and Jacob Churchwell; C J, and Regan Gulley; Blakely Simpson; Hanalee Harris; Blaine and Mariah Medler; and Caleb Bromley; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of friends and family whom he loved dearly.
