Gloria Jean (Gero) Elsleger

Gloria Jean Elsleger, 65, of Searcy, formally of Cleveland, Ohio, lost her battle to cancer September 21, 2020.  She passed peacefully in the comfort of her home.  She was born July 8, 1955 at Cleveland, Ohio to the late Author and Ann Gero.  Gloria married Kenneth Elsleger May 31, 1978 at Ohio. They built a beautiful life and family together sharing 42 years of matrimony together.
     Gloria was affectionately known as the “Mrs. Muscles”.  She was not a complainer and appreciated each new day with the adventures that it brought forth.  Gloria especially enjoyed dancing.  She and Kenneth had a favorite spot they shared with her brother, Bob and his wife Marsha.  She was a woman who wanted to share her life with others.  She thrived on entertaining other couple friends and longed to spend as much time as possible with her family. Gloria was a great cook - the secret ingredient was her “love”.  Gloria will be remembered as a beautiful soul, loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister.  She gained her heavenly wings and is now an angel in Heaven.
     Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son whom was born into heaven, Christopher Lee; two sisters, Patricia Kyker and Nancy Albright; as well as her four brothers, Ralph Gero, Raymond Gero, David Gero, and Lawrence Gero.  That will be a glad reunion day.
     Left to remember her beautiful life is her husband, Kenneth Elselger; their sons, Thomas Johnson, Joseph Elsleger, and Kenneth Jr Elsleger; four grandchildren, Sophia, Joey, Johnny, and Chase; sisters Bernadine Gero Reese (Bill), Betty Gero Gray (Grant) and Annmarie Gero; brothers Robert Gero (Marsha), and Allen Gero (Patricia); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A private Celebration of Life was held in her honor in Ohio.
