Gene Donnell

Gene Donnell, 85, of Judsonia, went to be with the Lord March 5, 2019 at Unity Health in Searcy.  He was born April 1, 1933 at rural Judsonia to the late Ora and Leona Bales Donnell.
     Mr. Donnell graduated from Judsonia and went on to serve in the US Army during the Korean War.  Later, he worked for General Telephone Electronics, retiring after 35 years.  He was a farmer, hunter, and fisherman.   He was a member of the Judsonia Church of Christ where he served as an Elder until 2018.  He will be remembered as a loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
     He married Frances Veach Donnell December 3, 1955 at Judsonia; she preceded him in death May 2, 2018.
     He is survived by a son, Kalvin Donnell (Connie) of Judsonia; three grandchildren, Savannah Simmons (John) of Cabot, Jeremiah Donnell (Andrea) of Judsonia, and Josiah Donnell (Myra) of Judsonia; one brother, Lynn Donnell (Beth) of Russellville; as well as many friends and extended family.
     Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2019 at Judsonia Church of Christ with funeral services starting at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
