Christine (Ballard) Pryor

Christine Ballard Pryor, 91, of Searcy, passed away May 30, 2020 at Providence Assisted Living Center.  She was born March 6, 1929 at Vinity to the late Othel and Pearl Hicks Ballard.
     Mrs. Pryor was a lifelong citizen of the Kensett community.  She graduated from Kensett, owned and operated the Pryor Food Service and was a member of Kensett First Baptist Church.
     She married Bob Pryor October 3, 1948 at Kensett; he preceded her in death October 27, 1975.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roger Ballard; and son – in – law, Dean Farris.
     She is survived by her beloved children, Bobby Pryor (Johnye) of North Little Rock, Sharon Farris of Cabot, Lee Ann Hopper (Terry) of Searcy, and Mark Pryor (Robbie) of Searcy; eight grandchildren, Robert Stewart, Christy Rogers, Molly Miller, Tiffany Aukes, Josh Farris, Taylor Swain, Cade and Cam Pryor; eight great grandchildren, Bo and Maggie Rogers, Katherine Miller, Pryor and Bear Aukes, Jax Stewart, Ranger Swain, and Lillie Farris; and best friend, Pat Rollins.
     Christine was an amazing daughter, wife, mother, Getma and friend. She was a generous, kindhearted woman who loved with all her heart.  She loved her God and her church.  She believed God placed her on this earth for a purpose and continued to impact lives until the day she left it.  With that being said, we would be remiss not to mention the wonderful staff and the residents at Providence Assisted Living who were such a special blessing to her in the last few months of her life.
     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kensett First Baptist Building Fund.
     Visitation will be 12 until 2 Friday, June 5, 2020 at Kensett First Baptist Church with funeral services starting at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Kensett Cemetery.
