Charlie Minyard Obituary

Charlie Dewayne “Chuck” Minyard Sr. lost his battle to COPD September 1, 2020.  He was born August 14, 1958 at the “Old Rogers Hospital” August 14. 1958 to Glendle Dewayne and Sharon Hill Minyard.  He is now riding his Harley across the Heavenly Hills of Glory.
He was preceded in death by his mother, who patiently waited to be reunited with her son.
Chuck is survived by his father, Glendle; son, Charlie Dewayne Minyard Jr. “CJ” of Savannah, Georgia; daughter, Veronica Minyard Richardson of Bald Knob; brothers, Marvin Minyard (Debbie) and David Minyard (Marie), bother of Searcy; sisters, Diann Minyard Reagan (Mike) of Searcy and Teresa Minyard White (Ted) of Kirby; granddaughter, Jocelyn Richardson; and a host of nieces and nephews, friends, family and fellow bike enthusiasts who will miss his faithful rides.
Chuck enjoyed a good hunt of deer and elk.  The proof is hanging on the walls of his home.  He also enjoyed fishing; a relaxing time spent on the water.  Chuck was a motorcycle enthusiast, preferably Harley Davidson.  The story goes that his first purchase was made in Hot Springs during the winter months.  He was so proud of his purchase that he was determined to ride home in 31-degree weather.  He said his hands were just about frozen to the handlebars.  David was prepared to haul the motorcycle home in the back of his truck, but Chuck was not interested.  He had his means of transportation home.  Chuck also enjoyed a good flea market or yard sale find.  He appreciated a good deal.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.  He became quite savvy in text messaging; almost over sharing with “CJ” through sending short videos and photos.  An activity that is now most cherished.
