Thomas Cossey Sr., 65, of McRae, passed away March 7, 2017 at his residence.  He was born June 8, 1951 at Bakersfield, California to the late Arie and Katherine James Eastridge.
     He attended Jacksonville High School and graduated UALR in 1984 with a degree in accounting.  Mr. Cossey was a member of McRae First Baptist Church and enjoyed talking to people about the Lord.  He was a proud veteran of the Marine Corp.  He loved his family dearly and enjoyed watching his granddaughter play basketball.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Jason Taylor.  He married Carol Staton Cossey November 22, 2013 at McRae; she survives.  He is also survived by two sons, TJ Cossey (Nicole) of Greenwood, Ark., and Cody Cossey (Brittany) of Jonesboro; three daughters, Jackie Campbell (Billy) of Sheridan, WY., Bonnie Frye (Chris) of Dover, IN., and Michelle McHatton (Keith) of Crawfordsville, IN.; one step son, Jay Taylor (Jan) of Bakersfield, CA.; one brother, Richard Eastridge (Linda) of Pangburn; two sisters, Janice Helms (Bill) of Thida, Ark., and Sue Spaur (Thomas) of Washington; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
     The family will have a memorial service 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at McRae First Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Toys for Tots.
