Roy Dale Edwards

Roy Edwards, 73, of Joy, passed away October 31, 2019 at his residence.  He was born January 5, 1946 at Beebe to the late Dayton and Verda Franklin Edwards.
     Mr. Edwards was of the Church of Christ faith and retired from NLS Construction in Rose Bud.  He was also a farmer and enjoyed running and working on heavy equipment.   He was a former fire chief for the Joy Volunteer Fire Department where he also served as a board member.  His hobbies included hunting and fishing, but most of all spending time with his granddaughter.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Winnie Edwards.
     He married Bonnie English Edwards December 19, 1969 at Joy, Arkansas who survives.  He is also survived by a son, Lonnie Edwards (Joanne) of Joy; granddaughter, Elizabeth Edwards also of Joy; brother, Alvin Edwards and sister, Edna Sullivan (David) both of Beebe.
     Cremation for Mr. Edwards will be in the Ascension Crematory with a memorial visitation to follow on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Care.
