Richard Charles “Dick” Boutell went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 22, 2018. He was born on December 24, 1938 in Battle Creek, Michigan to the late Charles and Edna Harmon Boutell. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Higginbothom Boutell and three sons, Jim Boutell (Kim) of Broomfield, Colorado, Bob Boutell (Meredith) of Searcy, Arkansas, and Rick Boutell of Judsonia, Arkansas; three grandsons, Joshua (Brittany), Caleb, Seth; and one granddaughter, Allison Grace. He has three siblings, Jeannette Duncan, Steven Boutell and Jim Boutell. He retired to Searcy, Arkansas, where he was a member of the College Church of Christ. During his early retirement he led Bible studies for Caring and Sharing. Prior to his retirement, he was a minister of Christian churches for 41 years including seven different states. He served in the U.S. Army in Kaiserslautern, Germany during the building of the Berlin Wall.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 10-11 am at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett. Graveside services will follow at 11:15 at Kensett Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Care.
