June Skinner

June M. Skinner, 76, of Searcy, passed away June 5, 2019 at Unity Health in Searcy.  He was born June 24, 1942 at Judsonia to the late James and Deafo Weaver Skinner.
     Mr. Skinner was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.  He belonged to the Carpenter’s Union #690 for over 50 years.  He was a mason, and had memberships at the Romance Lodge #481 and Searcy Lodge #40.  He also volunteered with the Searcy Optimist Club for 20 years.
     He married Dianne Langley Skinner January 26, 1968 at Searcy; she survives.  He is also survived by a son, Ernest Skinner (Kathy) of McRae; daughter, Jennifer Simon (Michael) of Searcy; five grandchildren, Makayla Simon Verd (Tanner) of Portland, Oregon, Sarah Simon of Searcy, Alton Gates, Summer Skinner, and Dylan Skinner all of McRae; great granddaughter, Emberlynn June Williams of Searcy; and one sister, Mary Frick (Richard) of Oklahoma.
     In addition to his parents, Mr. Skinner was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
     Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Sullivan Funeral Care.  Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church with burial following in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
