Porter Roger James, 61, of Searcy, passed away November 20, 2017 at Unity Health in Searcy.  He was born December 4, 1955 at Pangburn to the late Odis Lafayette and Gracie Lee Whiteacre James.
     He attended the Recovery Life Center in Searcy.
He is survived by one son, Robbie James of Heber Springs; one daughter, Shannon Dillard of Searcy; five grandchildren, Hailey and Alex Dillard, Heather, Jayden, and Shyla James; seven brothers, Jearl James of Prescott, Arizona, Levi James (Pam) of Bradford, Thomas James of Pangburn, Douglas LeRoy James (Wilma) of Kensett, Steve James (Leah) of McRae, Wendell James of Searcy, and Clark James of Pangburn; six sisters, Cora Bell James of Pangburn, Janetta Fuller of Chino Village, Arizona, Louise Duncan of Pangburn, Martha Davis of Pangburn, Betty Hatfield (Silas) of Searcy and Virginia Knapp (Alfred) of Wilburn; as well as a host of extended family, and friends.
     The family will have a private interment at a later date.
