Martha was born in Newport, Arkansas, to Boyd and Verna (Teague) Mullins on January 22, 1960. She graduated from Newport High School in 1978 and spent 38 years married to her high school sweetheart, Bill Smith. Motherhood to her two sons was her ultimate profession, but she was employed in other various fields throughout the years, as well. As her health declined, she was a devoted and doting grandmother to her precious little angels, whom she adored more than anything else in this world. In addition, she was a Christian by faith and a recent member of Jacksonport Baptist Church.

Martha is preceded in death by her father, Boyd Mullins; mother, Verna (Teague) Mullins; and brothers, Ray and Marion "Cotton" Mullins.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Smith of Tuckerman, AR; son Kris, Mira and granddaughter Katarina, of Searcy, AR; son Daniel, Chelsi and granddaughter Elli, of Jacksonport, AR; She is also survived by two brothers, Sonny Mullins of Sherwood, AR, and Lonnie Mullins of Tuckerman, AR; two sisters, Rosemary Miller of Biloxi, MS, and Donna Bedwell of Diaz, AR; two aunts, Brenda Lindsey of Newport, AR, and Linda Malone of Proctor, AR; and dozens of cousins, in-laws, nephews and nieces.

Gifts and flowers in memoriam should be sent to 701 Avenue, Newport, AR 72112. She was particularly fond of pink and purple flowers.

The family wishes to thank the extended family, friends, medical staff, and community members for their tireless work and effort and the outpouring of support during this difficult time.
