Leona Openshaw, 71, of Searcy, passed from this life March 21, 2016 at Unity Health in Searcy.  She was born February 14, 1945 at Detroit, Michigan to the late Walter and Cordelia Nash Jankowski.
     She was a member of Foothills Church of Christ in Searcy.  She was a devoted minister’s wife for 49 years.  She loved playing cards with friends, loved singing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Maynard.
     She married Jack Openshaw January 13, 1967 at Roseville, Michigan, he survives.  She is also survived by two sons, Jason Openshaw of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Aaron Openshaw of Rushville, Indiana; two daughters, Andrea Archer of Mooresville, Indiana, and Rachel Woods (Rusty) of Memphis, Tennessee; one brother, Gene Jankowski (Linda); two sisters, Lucille Higgins (Ted) and Diana Woloszyk; seven grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
     The family will have a memorial service 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 24 at Foothills Church of Christ in Searcy officiated by Randy Rankin.
