Lee Roy Boone

Lee Roy Boone Jr., 68, of Searcy, passed away January 31, 2018 at Beebe Retirement Center following a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  He was born June 17, 1949 at Lubbock, Texas to the late Lee Roy and Mildred Adkinson Boone Sr.
     He was a member of Word of Faith Church in Searcy.  Lee was a simple man and usually of few words but he loved animals.  He showed livestock at many of the area fairs over the years.  He also had a green thumb and could grow anything he wanted. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the White County Hospital in their environmental services.
     He is survived by one daughter, Tina Crossman (Sam) of Russell; eight grandchildren, Kandice Douglas (Sam), Kristen Combs (Eli), Jonathan Crossman, Hunter Crossman, Jonathan, Manuel, Michael and Christopher Garcia; one great grandson, Grayson; one brother, Edward “EH” Boone (Debbie) and one sister, Martha Black (Ray), as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.
     Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2018 at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
