Jodie Austin Jr., 72, of Kensett, formerly of North Carolina, died August 19, 2016 at The Crossing at Riverside Nursing Home in Searcy.  He was born August 11, 1944 at Monroe, North Carolina to the late Jodie Austin Sr. and Margaret Caudle Austin.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Austin.
He is survived by one son, Shawn Austin (Christy) of Kensett; daughter, Crystal Fulghum of York, SC.; two brothers, Nelson Austin (Dianne) of Indian Trail, NC. And Darryl Austin (Doris) of Erwin, TN.; one sister, Jane Baucom (Richard) of Marshville, NC.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
     He will be cremated and no public services are scheduled.
