Cecil L. Blackwell, 72, of Higginson, passed away September 14, 2016 at Unity Health.  He was born June 11, 1944 at Wynne, Arkansas to the late Benjamin F. and Bertha Mae Marple Blackwell.
     Mr. Blackwell retired from Walmart distribution as a warehouse manager following 22 years of service.  He was a member of the Higginson Methodist Church and loved working in his shop, woodworking, restoring cars, traveling, and operating heavy equipment every chance he got.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Blackwell; Great Granddaughter, Annabelle Houghtlen; two brothers, Chester and Cleo Blackwell.
     He married Marilyn Boyd Blackwell January 21, 1967 at the Higginson Methodist Church; she survives.  He is also survived by son, Chris Blackwell of Higginson; daughter, Elizabeth Nunez (Victor) of Higginson; grandchildren, Lilly, Gaby, Sydney, and Brittany; great grandchildren, Emma, Connor, and Carleigh; three brothers, Charles Blackwell (Mary) of Wynne, Carl Blackwell (Pat) of Wynne, and Calvin Blackwell (Marcia) of Colorado; two sisters, Challis Eggert (Bud) of Arkansaw, WI, and Catherine Kincaid (Maynard) of Rockford, IL; and best friend, Bo Pool of Higginson.
     Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Sullivan Funeral Care.  Cremation will follow visitation under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Care.
